Chapter 10 examines the various official reports and EU documents that, since the end of the sovereign debt crisis, have periodically proposed broad reforms. These include reports drawn up by institutional presidents and Commission papers/reports. Additionally, the chapter reviews the outcome of the various euro summits that discussed euro-area reforms and the several initiatives put forward by Member States (notably France and Germany). The chapter concludes with a detailed examination of the most significant proposals submitted in the last few years by the Commission.
