Chapter 24 The post-Keynesian institutionalism of Wallace Peterson
Restricted access

This chapter assesses the post-Keynesian institutionalist contributions of Wallace C. Peterson (1921-2012) in three areas: foundations of economics (including attention to finance and economic power); analyses of the US economy (including research on the "silent depression"); and discussions of public policy (including infrastructure investment, active labor-market policies, and tax reform). The chapter concludes by highlighting aspects of Peterson's work that remain relevant to the study of contemporary economic issues.
