The transfer of one’s own business experience into a process of self-discovery as educator is at the forefront of Shani Hartley’s chapter. A natural attraction to helping students understand business sits behind a range of decisions Hartley has made to develop herself into both an entrepreneurship educator and a scholar of entrepreneurship education. Recognizing the long-term value of student agency, Hartley opens our minds to the required process of self-discovery that must be completed for either student and/or educator to move forward.
