Chapter 8 Teaching health economics to non-economists
Restricted access

The demographics and modality of programs in Health Administration, Health Care Management, and other graduate curricula that require or offer a course in HE have changed. However, the difficulties that students unfamiliar with economics encounter can be an instructional challenge, which requires a need for modified HE instruction. This chapter provides instructional guidance and various methodologies on teaching HE to non-economists that can be utilized in both in-person and online modalities. Included are simple and concrete instructional examples and visual aids, such as graphs and tables that lead to a sophisticated understanding of the economics of health care.
