This chapter is a case study of Ecoalf - a Spanish fashion brand with a clear and inspiring purpose rooted in sustainability. Since its foundation in Madrid in 2012, Ecoalf has developed, together with partners, recycled fabrics from such diverse materials as plastic bottles, used car tyres and fishing nets. The purpose of the company is brought to life in its activist stance that is summarized by the statement that appears on the clothes and accessories it produces: 'Because there is no Planet B.' Ecoalf pursues a stakeholder based philosophy that recognizes the interdependence of all its different audiences. Its sustainability management performance is independently verified and it aims at transparency.
