Restricted access

This themed introduction provides an overview of the EUs Cohesion Policy goal to reduce disparity between regions in the EU and the available funds to achieve these objectives. Later, it provides a summary of the contributions in the thematic Part A by outlining the 5 distinct chapters as well as the scholarly commentary. The chapter highlights the diversity of entry points analysing to what extend the EUs Cohesion policy achieves its set goal, e.g. by looking at the national programming, polycentrism, smart specialisation or indicator development.
