Chapter 8 tackles the enabling resource of entrepreneurship education as a horizontal factor in universities having a regional impact. The capacities and capabilities developed by entrepreneurship education, in both students and staff include creativity, innovation and risk taking as well as the ability to plan and managed projects that achieve objectives. Many of the case studies have integrated entrepreneurship into the curricula of all subjects, which not only boosts new firm creation but produces graduates that meet the demand of employers. A growing number of academics are starting their own entrepreneurial activities outside the university, which provides another pathway to regional impact.
