The author shares his personal journey through mindfulness as a student and in teaching it to law students. Emphasis is given to the role mindfulness can play in terms of work satisfaction, performance, social connection, and well-being. The reader is invited to join with the author on the journey of self-exploration and the cultivation of tools of awareness for personal and professional growth. The structure of the book is set forth, explaining its three parts: mindfulness elements (leadership, attention, relaxation, awareness, and mindfulness), mindfulness and you (solitude, connection, self-care, movement, and practice), and mindfulness applications (listening, negotiation, judgment, creativity, and freedom).
